Just like Spring, I am back! In this blog post I would like to share this great sale at GAP. I used to dislike GAP because I didn't think that their clothing, especially their pants were a good fit for my hips. Until recently, my friend Andrea introduced Gap pants to me again, and ever since then I have have been buying their high waisted jeans. She has also introduced me to their dressier work pants. I love them! They fit my body and curves great. This week they have the friends and family sale, which means 50% off the entire store. I got myself a pair of dressy pants and I paired it with an off the shoulder top that I also Purchased at the Gap. For more information click on the links below:
It has been a while since my last blog. I had to take a little break, but now I am back and would like to say Happy New Year. Last weekend that past I was in Puerto Rico celebrating my birthday (thanks to the hubs). It has been over 4 years since I have been in Puerto Rico. I got the chance to see my mother and spend some quality time with her and my family. On one of the days there I decided to wear a skirt jumpsuit with a sleeeves turtle neck. In January Puerto Rico has great weather. The highest temperature it reached was 82 degrees, which I loved because I got to wear sandals with my outfits. I'm looking forward to more trips to Puerto Rico.
Happy December! This is one of my favorite times of the year. There will be many get togethers coming up this month, and that is what inspired me to do this look. I wanted to do a look that I can wear at simple a dinner party with friends or family. I wore this off white midi skirt with a fine knit sweater. The fabrics on these pieces are light and flow great together. I added a belt to go with the heels, and also a touch of gold with the clutch. There are a lot of sales happening this week since thanksgiving and Black Friday are around the corner. Many stores are having a pre Black Friday sale and I think it is as good as the Black Friday sales, but without all the crowds. I happened to find this cute dress from H&M on sale. I have been wanting to get a dress like this one, and I especially love the opening on the backside of it. One of my favorite features is my back so whenever I find an item that shows it off I purchase it. I would usually wear this type of dress with pumps but I decided to come out of my comfort zone and put on a pair of ankle boots, and I love the way it made the outfit stand out. Remember to shop early if you don't like the crowds. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving alongside your loved ones!

I found this great dress for this time of the year. It's a perfect dress for either Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Eve. Velvet fabric is in this year therefore you can find shoes, bags, dresses, and even jewelry in that material. The best part about the dress is that you can purchase it for only $19.99 at Zara. From time to time I like to bring a more casual look to my blog, and this is one of those times. I decided to wear these stylish Uniqlo jogger pants that I am in love with. They fit any body type, and they don't get wrinkled like other dressy pants I own. I got inspired to wear them with my new "old skool" vans and this cute open back button down shirt that I purchased from ASOS. I also added my guy friend's jean jacket (thinking of keeping it), which I believe pulled the look together. It's all about the small details we add to our outfits that make the biggest difference to our style. Below I have added the links to the items in this blog. Check them out!
In this blog I wanted to post about this pretty and simple dress from Old Navy. I love that I can wear this dress with anything; from heels to sneakers, and each item gives it a different look. I decided to wear the dress with black booties that I purchased from DSW, which went together perfectly. I added a touch of red with the belt from Old Navy and the Ralph Lauren purse from TJMaxx. Altogether it gave me a 70s look. Click on the links below to see moreabout the items in this post.

I am the type of person who usually has solid pieces in her closet. I don't really buy things with a lot of designs and patterns, but this fall I have been pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone by introducing different styles into my closet that perhaps in the past I wouldn't have tried. In this post I want to show you that it is okay to venture out of your comfort zone and try new things. I was happy with this pretty see through flower button down long shirt from H&M. Since it is see through I added an under slip dress. You can do so many different styles with this piece; you can add pants underneath as well. I decided to add a belt, but you can also do it without a belt if you desire. During this shoot I couldn't decide which shoes to wear for the post so I went with two different styles. As you can see each one brought out a different look to the outfit. Which one you do like better?
I found this cute shirt from H&M and I couldn't wait to wear it. There are so many ways that one could wear this shirt. I decided to wear it in a more casual way with jeans from the GAP. Flats and sneakers are also in this season; so instead of wearing this outfit with heels I decided to wear it with pointy flats from Forever 21. To make my outfit complete I added my red Ralph Lauren purse that I purchased from TJMaxx. It gave the look the perfect pop of color. Click on the links below to find out more on this outfit.
I wore this dress last week to take my hubby out to celebrate his birthday and I wanted to wear it again to show you what's in this fall and also how versatile this dress is. Dressy dresses with sneakers are in this season. l really love the way my sneakers stood out with the outfit; It felt balanced. I have not really done this style before and I think I was able to pull it off. The blush bomber jacket along with the blush slip on dress from Zara really brought it all together. This pair of Adidas sneakers have been my favorite since the beginning of Spring, and they continue to be for this season. And, don't worry if they get dirty; it gives them character. In most of my recent posts I have worn a dress or a skirt, but this post is to show you a little bit of my casual side. I mostly wear jeans on the weekends because I am not allowed to at my workplace. In this post I am wearing jeans from Zara that were purchased last year. I am short so this means that I either have to roll up my pants or take them to get tailored. l recommend that you find a good seamstress near you so that whenever you need certain alterations in your clothing you can get them done. I added a plain white dressy shirt from Uniqlo. This shirt can be worn with basically anything from pants to dresses to shorts. I love how versatile it is. Since we are approaching fall and most of us are already wearing fall clothing I added a sweater from H&M. I love that the sweater brings a pop of color and it reminds me of the fall colors of a tree. I went into Zara and found these great two tone flats which are very comfortable, and you can use them everyday. Last but not least the purse I am wearing I found in TJMaxx from Anne Klein. The color is neutral and it goes perfect with the whole look. Check out the links below to find out more about the clothes in this blog.
Are you ready for the fall? Another greatitem to have this fall is floral patterns. You can find floral patterns in tops, pants, shoes etc. I found this cute fall floral pattern dress from Old Navy. It's a very versatile dress. I can add a belt to it and instead of heels I can wear flats, ankle boots, high boots and even sneakers; yet it will still go with the dress. I wore this outfit with sandals this time around because it is still very warm outside and the fabric is light enough for this weather and for the fall. This season is coming to an end. The kids are starting to head back to school and most things go back to normal for me as a mom. So, what better way than to end the summer season than being at the beach? I have been wanting to shoot this dress from Forever 21 at the beach since the beginning of Summer but never got the chance to do it until now at the end of it. The color of the dress is not only perfect for summer but also for the fall. I can easily change the look by adding a bomber jacket to it. It is a versatile dress at a great price. Now, this is not a, "goodbye" summer but more like a, "see you in a few." Click on the link below to check out more about Maxi dresses.

How to transition from summer to fall. For many (like myself) it's hard to say goodbye to summer especially if you are living in NYC which gets cold during the winter days (let's not think about that yet); so we tend to really appreciate summer days, and it is why it's hard to let it go. I know many of us this summer have gotten many slip on dresses because they are a great on the go item. You can put them on with basically any type of shoes. So in the post we are not letting go of our slip on dress now that fall is here. Instead, we are going to introduce the slip on dress with a tee under. In this post I put on a slip on dress from TopShop that I bought on Nordstrom and I added the white tee from Zara. I made the look a little more fall like by adding a grey open toe shoes from Adam Tucker that I got at DSW (they have a great selection of fall shoes). Also one great thing about slip on dresses is that you can also use a regular shirt, sweater or a jacket, and it changes the look from summer to fall. I was searching on Pinterest (which I love) and came across this store that has great items and a good price range. I purchased this cute little summer top from them. I love the details of the flowers and the open back design. The top goes perfectly with shorts, skirts, and long pants. They have many other great pieces as well.
